Hubert Vaz
Hubert Vaz is a journalist with 22 years of varied writing expereince behind him. Hailing from Mumbai (India) where he worked for 16 years for prestigious organisations like United News of India, Afternoon Despatch & Courier and Indian Express, he later on moved to Muscat (Oman) to work for Oman Tribune and currently is Assistant Editor for a weekend tabloid called 'H!', part of the Times of Oman group. He is also a poet/lyricist in his own right and has recited over 25 of his English poems on All India Radio, directed plays, composed hymns/songs and conducted church choirs over the past two decades.
He has written innumerable investigative stories, features and conducted interviews with many Indian as well as foreign stalwarts/celebrities from varied fields including the likes of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Indian Magician P.C. Sorcar jr. Australian motivational speaker Nick Vujicic (born without limbs), US scientist, Dr. Peter Smith who built and landed the Phoenix Lander on Mars and many other mavericks from around the world. He has trained hundreds of young reporters in Mumbai and Muscat as well as lectured to journalism college students in both these cities.
